WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The City of Westfield is launching Brave the Barricades, a campaign that wants you to shop local despite construction challenges on State Road 32.

While construction builds up a line of barricades along State Road 32 that is causing some disruptions, the City of Westfield created Brave the Barricades to keep you shopping local. If you sign up for the first phase of Brave the Barricades, you’ll not only get updates on the construction’s progress, but will be entered to win weekly gift cards to local businesses.

“While the State Road 32 construction project may cause some short-term disruptions, the Brave the Barricades campaign is designed to turn those challenges into opportunities,” Westfield Mayor Scott Willis said in the announcement. “The goal is to maintain strong traffic for local businesses—whether it’s through a quick coffee stop, a delicious meal, or shopping for a unique gift. We know that our residents will rally for our local businesses.”

Each stop at a local shop will get you a stamp as a reward. Collect at least five stamps to be entered into a $250 gift basket raffle, but if you keep adding stamps your chance to win grows.
