INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Despite the return of sunshine on our Friday, we dealt with a colder day with temperatures only getting into the low to mid 20s.
We will continue to push towards even warmer air with the possibility of some 40s in this extended forecast.
Friday night: Clouds are set to increase into tonight with lows occurring at midnight in the mid teens. The reason why this is taking shape with our lows is because a breezy southerly wind will develop overnight. Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid to upper 20s by daybreak Saturday.

Saturday: We get to see temperatures return to near normal levels for this time of the year. This will be thanks due to breezy winds out of the south, which at times will gust up to 20-30 MPH.
There is also the potential for snow showers across central Indiana from late morning into the early nighttime hours due to a weak cold front. Lingering flurries may persist into the first few hours of Sunday. Some snow could also be just heavy enough to produce a very thin coating on the ground for some locations near and north of interstate 70.
Highs look to top out in the mid to upper 30s under mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday: Saturday’s front is expected to give way to a colder Sunday with decreasing clouds in the back half of the day. Winds will turn lighter out of the west with highs only getting into the upper 20s to low 30s.

7-Day Forecast: The temperature fallback we experience Sunday is very short lived as a renewed southerly breezy wind emerges Monday. Temperatures are set to get back into the mid to upper 30s Monday with wind gusts up to 30 MPH at times. There is even potential we sneak back into the 40s by next Tuesday. Next best chance for any precipitation won’t come until mid to late week next week with colder air eventually returning.
