April 16, 2025 morning forecast with Tara Hastings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  A frosty start this morning across much of the state. We will see a warming trend heading into the rest of the week. Storm chances possible for the Easter weekend.

TODAY:  Temperatures into the 30s this morning under mostly cloudy skies. We will see a warmer Wednesday with high temperatures climbing into the lower 60s which is right around normal for this time of year. Winds are definitely much lighter compared to what we had yesterday. Overall a very beautiful afternoon expected across much of the state today.

TONIGHT:  A few clouds tonight not going to be as cold as it was this morning. Low temperatures will fall into the lower 40s .

TOMORROW: Clouds begin to increase on your Thursday with a chance for a few showers possible. Temperatures will climb into the middle 60s.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Incredibly warm on Friday with high temperatures climbing into the upper 70s flirting with 80. The first part of the day will be dry with partly cloudy skies but it will be windy. Winds may gust at times near 30 to 35 miles per hour. A cold front moves throughout the state Friday evening and that will bring us a chance for some showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the stronger side with gusty winds and heavy rainfall .

Easter weekend will see a chance for some showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs on Saturday near 70 and into the upper 60s on Sunday. Right now it looks like we may see dry conditions for the first part of the morning.

We may the potential for some moderate to heavy rainfall amounts. Anywhere between two and possibly 4 inches of rainfall across parts of Central Indiana from this system. Temperatures will continue to stay into the mid and upper 60s. Some rain chances on Monday but drying out on Tuesday.
