INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Stellantis said Thursday it was temporarily laying off 900 workers, including employees at its Kokomo facilities, due to President Trump’s new auto tariffs.

The automaker will temporarily pause production at an assembly plant in Canada and one in Mexico. Stellantis COO Antonio Filosa said in a letter to employees that those actions “will impact some employees at several of our U.S. powertrain and stamping facilities.”
