MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Heavy rains has left most of central and southern Indiana under a flood warning, even leaving one county shut down from a travel warning.
Morgan County is under a travel warning Saturday morning because heavy flooding has closed over 70 roads in the county. All non-emergency travel is restricted.
While the Morgan County Emergency Management Agency is working to close off all flooded roads, they warn that there could be more flooding which they are not aware of.
Some of the roads that the Morgan County EMA urges you to avoid are:
- West County Road 1050 and North Little Point Road.
- Waverly Park Road.
- Rhodes Road and Nelson Road.
- Graveyard Road.
- Upper Patton Park Road.
- Low Gap Road.
- Old 67 State Road at Forest Commodities.
- Old 67 State Road and Clay Road.
- Duckworth Road and 67 Road.
- Herbemont Road North of Yale.
- Mapleturn Road and Egbert Road.
- Blue Bluff Road and Mapleturn Road
- Bill Smith Road.
- Lower Patton Park Road.
- Rhodes Road and U.S. 42.
- Gray Road.
- Henderson Ford Road.
- Awbrey Road and Craver Road.
- Wilson Road and Awbrey Road.
- Big Hurricane Road.
- Mosier Park and Big Hurricane Road.
The National Weather Service says that moderate to major flooding is expected to affect the White and Wabash rivers the most. Most counties are under a flood warning until early Monday.
