Indy Ignite brings interactive experience to fans
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indy Ignite sparked a passion for volleyball right here in the Circle City. With packed crowds, high-energy gameplay, and an interactive game-day experience, the Ignite are bringing fans of all ages into the action.
Carly Klanac, the team’s vice president of marketing and game day experience, shared her enthusiasm for the growing fan base. “We have our third game tonight, and so far, it’s been unbelievable. The reception from the community has been incredible. The energy is huge, the crowds are packed, and the team has been playing great. It’s just a lot of excitement and love from the community.”
Her passion for volleyball runs deep, especially since she’s surrounded by the sport in both her professional and personal life. Carly’s husband, John, is a coach at Purdue University, and together, they are setting a strong volleyball foundation for their 7-month-old daughter.
“It’s amazing to see her grow up around volleyball,” Carly said. “With John coaching at Purdue and me working with the Indy Ignite, the environment she’s exposed to is something special. As a former college player myself, seeing professional volleyball here in Indianapolis is a dream. It’s really cool to be able to make history for her so that she can see herself, hopefully, on the big stage on TV.”
Tonight’s game promises to bring even more excitement, as the Indy Ignite take on the Columbus Fury for Family Day, presented by Team Rehab.
“We’re so excited to have families join us on this Sunday for some fun. We’ve got a lot of great activities planned. The first 1,000 fans will receive free Indy Ignite sunglasses—definitely something I’ll be trying to get my hands on! Plus, there will be interactive events, volleyball in the stands, and lots of fun surprises on the court. It’s going to be a blast!” Carly said.
Despite the growing popularity of the games, Carly confirmed that there are still a few tickets left for the action. “Our games have been selling out fast, but there’s still a chance to join us for a great family day. Don’t miss out!”
