INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s been a very turbulent week for Indianapolis City-County Councillor Jesse Brown.

On Monday, Brown announced over social media he’d been expelled from the council’s Democratic party caucus. The message came as a simple sentence, reading, “Just got expelled from the Democratic caucus, lmao.”

Then on Tuesday, hours after Brown publicly named the councillors who voted him out – his constituents packed a Committee on Committees meeting out of fear of further council action against him.

Brown represents District 13 on the council, which covers a portion of the near eastside between Delaware Street and Emerson Avenue respectively.
