Royal Pin Woodland will play as the host. They are the only bowling center worldwide to have hosted every major PNS tournament.

“Big day, big crowd, a lot of energy and a lot of strikes,” Adam Jacobs, operations manager at Royal Pin Woodland, said.

Jacobs said there will be about 400 people in the building with standing room only.

The crowd does make a difference at these events, especially with the trophy on the line, Jacobs said.

“It’s something that can really pump you up or if you’re doing bad, your opponent is doing great and they start cheering for them, it can be deflating. They’re right on top of you the whole match and it’s just a great environment,” Jacobs said.

This year the winner will take home a trophy, green jacket and $100,000.

One of those competing for the championship is E.J. Tackett, from Huntington, Indiana.

“E.J. Tackett is going for another win, another title, another green jacket. He’s a local guy and we’re rooting for him,” Jacobs said.
