Ben Shapiro: Israel Won’t Listen To ‘Biden Anymore,’ ‘Effectively Zero’ Chance They Won’t Respond

Israel will respond forcefully to a Tuesday missile attack launched by Iran against the Jewish state, according to Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro.

Iran fired over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday, according to Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari. The attack came in retaliation for the death of Hassan Nasrallah, the chief of the terror group Hezbollah who was killed in an Israeli airstrike last week.

Most of the Iranian missile barrage was intercepted by Israel’s defense systems and through the efforts of allies, including the United States, Hagari said.

“The chances that Israel does not respond are effectively zero. Israel is not going to listen to Joe Biden anymore,” Shapiro said during live coverage in the aftermath of the missile attack.

“When the Biden-Harris administration suggested that Israel ‘take the win’ in the aftermath of the last round of massive missile attacks, Israel instead fired effectively a very new technology at the Iranian territory,” he continued, referring to President Joe Biden’s message to Israel after it was targeted with hundreds of Iranian ballistic and cruise missiles in April. The April attack came in retaliation for the death of Iranian Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi.

In retaliation to the first Iranian attack and contrary to the Biden administration’s advice, Israel hit back at Iran in a symbolic strike on a target near an Iranian nuclear facility. The attack was widely interpreted as a message about Israel’s capability to hit targets inside Iranian territory, especially the Iranian regime’s nuclear program.

Shapiro said that Israel will almost certainly respond much more forcefully to the latest Iranian attack.

“There is great unity on both sides of the Israeli aisle. The left to the right, the Labor Party all the way over to Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir, there’s great unity in Israel for the possibility of doing severe damage to the Iranian regime’s economic capabilities and nuclear capabilities,” Shapiro said.

Two potential targets for Israeli retribution are Iran’s nuclear facilities and its oil and natural gas fields. Iran has been attempting to develop a nuclear bomb for roughly two decades. The bomb represents an existential threat to the state of Israel, according to Shapiro, and its threat has been a cornerstone of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political campaigns.

Iran’s oil and gas fields are the cornerstone of its economy. Their destruction would undermine the Iranian economy and potentially create conditions within the country for massive unrest.
