Indiana limits coverage of popular autism therapy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The American Heart Association (AHA) is holding an Advocacy Day event at the Indiana Statehouse on Monday.

The hope to convince lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 350 and House Bill 1310, two measures that have been stalled in committees.

News 8’s Tim Spears sat down with Christina Cesnik, AHA’s Indiana government relations director, and Julie West, the founder of the Play for Jake Foundation, to hear why they feel these bills are important to the children of Indiana.

The Indiana Coalition for Public Education will also be at the Statehouse on Monday to demonstrate and fight to preserve public education.
