INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Warm conditions heading this way for today. 80s return for the afternoon with light winds and partly cloudy skies. Rain will arrive on Friday with a few thunderstorms possible. Dry conditions arrive for the weekend with cooler temperatures.

TODAY: A mild morning with temperature starting out into the 50s. It is going to be a gorgeous day today with a summer-like feel. Partly cloudy skies a few isolated showers possible but not until later this afternoon into the early evening hours. Highs will climb into the lower 80s. The normal high for this time of year into the mid ’60s.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies through the night with a few isolated showers, maybe a rumble of thunder. Lows will only fall into the low and middle 60s.

TOMORROW: Lots of clouds on Friday with a storm system heading our way. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible and could produce some light to moderate maybe even heavy rain at times. High temperatures will climb into the mid ’60s. We may pick up around an inch, possibly a little more rainfall across parts of Central and Southern Indiana. 

THIS WEEKEND: Cooler conditions heading into the weekend but really closer to normal for this time of year. The normal high for this time of the year is 67. Partly cloudy for the afternoon on Saturday cooler with highs near 64. Partly cloudy Sunday with highs right around 70.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: On Monday we will look for partly cloudy skies and a chance for some showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be right around 78. Thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday and some of those could be on the stronger side. Be sure to stay tuned to the forecast heading into the first part of next week.
