USPS to cut about 10,000 jobs

Trump ramps up tariffs against the EU

President Trump ratcheted up threats in response to EU retaliatory tariffs, saying the US Would hit European wine and liquor with 200% trade taxes.

Products like Tennessee whiskey, California almonds, and rearview mirrors made in michigan are acutely exposed to economic harm from a European market sales decline.

Tariffs could drive up new home prices $10,000

Should the tariffs on canada and mexico go through, they could raise material costs for the average new home by as much as $10,000, according to the National Association of Home Builders.

The trade group said that softwood lumber is mainly sourced from Canada, while gypsum primarily comes from Mexico. Steel and aluminum, along with completed home appliances, come from China.

The tariffs have been delayed until April.

USPS to cut about 10,000 jobs

About 10,000 job cuts are coming to the US Postal Service.

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy says he signed an agreement with the General Services Administration and DOGE to identify inefficiencies.

Part of the deal involves plans to reduce its workforce by thousands of workers within the next month through a voluntary early retirement program.

Since 2007, the postal service has lost more than $100 billion dollars and continues to lose money.

Oracle leading contender to buy TikTok

Oracle is the “leading contender to help run TikTok” in possible sale.

The New York Post reports President Trump has until April 5 to find a buyer for TikTok.

Critics have said TikTok is a spy and propaganda tool for the Chinese communist party and it’s on track for its US division to be sold.

Pizza places offer Pi Day deals

Restaurant chains across the US will offer up deals on pies and pizzas for Pi Day today.

It’s March 14, or 3-14, like the mathematical concept of 3.14.

National pizza chains are having deals and many local pizza joints are hosting specials today, as well.
